English Theater: Wednesday and the Monster Family

 

Students from 3rd to 6th grade went to watch the play Wednesday and the Monster Family. 

The Monster Family is not like other families… and Wednesday, with her dark humor and clever mind, is not like other girls either. In this original story, she and her strange family live crazy and funny situations, where scary and fun come together. It was a play in English full of humor, unusual characters, and interactive moments. 

The students really enjoyed the experience and even had the chance to meet the actors.

2nd: SENSES

 Second grade students at Discover have been learning about the five senses.

They explored how we use sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell in our daily lives.
As a creative project, they designed and crafted their own “Flower of the Senses.”
Each petal represents a different sense and shows what they have learned in a fun and meaningful way.

2nd: THE SENSES

 Second grade students are working on the five senses. Through different activities, they identify each sense and the part of the body used for it: sight with the eyes, hearing with the ears, smell with the nose, taste with the tongue, and touch with the hands. The students participate actively, repeating vocabulary and matching images with actions. In this way, they learn English in a fun way.

5th: COMPARATIVES AND SUPERLATIVES

 Today in fifth grade students have been practicing comparative and superlative sentences in different learning stations. The students have worked both orally and in writing, always collaborating in groups. They were able to move around, share ideas, and help one another. They had a great time while learning!

4th: THE EARTH

 Eric, our fourth-grade student, has prepared a wonderful presentation about the Earth.

In Discover we are learning about the Earth and the planets and in his project, he talks about our planet’s main characteristics and its importance for life.
He has worked very hard to make his presentation clear and interesting for everyone.
In addition, Eric has designed some thoughtful questions for his classmates to answer.

3rd: CHEFS

 The students of third grade have been working on a very interesting and useful topic in Discover class: the different types of food.

Throughout this project, the children have learned to recognize and classify foods into main groups such as carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins, and healthy fats. They have discovered the role each type of food plays in helping our bodies stay healthy and strong.

As a final activity, each student created their own food book, where are illustrated and described various foods, grouping them by category.

"They’ve learned so much, they could become great chefs someday!"

5TH: SLOGANS

 An excellent job has been done by 4th grade students in creating the slogans. The messages reflect a clear understanding of the importance of recycling and taking care of the planet. The relevance of environmental conservation has been effectively conveyed through concise and creative phrases. This type of activity encourages reflection and students' commitment to sustainable practices. The effort and creativity put into each slogan are commendable.

1st: ANIMALS MOOD

 1st grade students have practiced what they have learned with the interactive board doing games about animals and their characteristics.😸

3rd, 4th CALENDAR

 In the second cycle of primary we work on the calendar every day, and in this way we learn routinely and acquire the habit of saying the date, the seasons and the weather.

EI5, 1r, 2n: ENGLISH THEATER

 EI5, first and second grade students have enjoyed a theater play in English.

Theatrical show about the intrepid story of Aladdin. One day Aladdin finds a magic lamp! a very special genie comes out. Finally, Aladdin will manage to get the lamp back and, by choosing his wishes, he will learn what is "truly important"! 

 

2n: CLOTHES

 In second grade, students have learnt the name of the pieces of clothes by playing and dressing.

It's an easy way to learn by doing!!

4t: LEARNING THE TIMES

 4th grade students have learnt the times in English and have practiced them by playing in different ways. 

It has been really funny.💬💭

2ND SNAILS

Our classmate Daniel has done an oral presentation about snails, due to his pets are snails.

he has explained how many eggs snails lay, what kind of food do they eat and where do they live, not only he has explained, but also he has brought his pets to class!!

It has been really interesting.

5th: DISCOVER

 In Discover fifth grade students have dessigned some slogans to save the planet and to encourage people to take care of it.

They have created really motivationals slogans.

Look at them!

- Turn off the lights and open your eyes.

- If you want a future take care of the present.

- Try to save the time and we can improve the kites.

- If you like life, save the light.

- If you do the three R's people respect you.

- For you, for me, for the future,  RECYCLE!

- To help recycle.

- If you still want to live, turn off the light.

 

5TH SPEAKING

 Fifth grade students have created  the Alphabet game, and they have thought one definition for each letter from the alphabet and by groups have played, it has been really fun and entretained.

Students have learnt and enjoyed preparing the game and playing.

 EI5, first and second grade have enjoyed a theater play The little Prince and have learnt that the essential is invisible to the eyes. 🛩️🌹

An entretaining play to immerse into the English language and develope skills at the same time that they learn new vocabulary and expressions.
