3r i 4t: WE START THE GARDEN PROJECT!

 Els alumnes de 3r i 4t estan fent el projecte de l'hort de forma cooperativa i en anglès! Per tal de potenciar els coneixements sobre l'hort, el treball en equip i tolerància i a més a més, fomentar la parla de l'anglès.

The students of 3rd and 4th grade are doing the garden project cooperatively and in English! In order to enhance knowledge about the garden, teamwork and tolerance and moreover encourage the students to speak English.

Els alumnes de 3r van ser els encarregats de trasplantar les plantes, i així van poder observar de forma directa les seves arrels i les parts de la planta.

The 3rd graders were in charge of transplanting the plants, so they could directly observe their roots and plant parts.

Entre els alumnes de tercer i quart vam fer una recerca de quin tipus d'hortalisses podíem plantar en aquell moment, ja que ens vam adonar entre tots que algunes de preferències que havien sortit de manera cooperativa, no eren possibles per l'època en la qual ens trobàvem.

Un cop vam fer la tria de les plantes i hortalisses, l'alumnat de quart va dissenyar les etiquetes on s'indica el nom de la planta, quantes hores ha d'estar al sol, quanta aigua necessita i en quina època de l'any és convenient plantar-les.

Among the third and fourth grade students, we did a research about what kind of vegetables we could plant at that time, till we all realized that some of the preferences that had emerged cooperatively, were not possible at the time

Once we had chosen the plants and vegetables, the fourth grade students designed the labels indicating the name of the plant, how many hours they should be in the sun, how much water they need and at what time of the year they are convenient to be planted.

De forma cooperativa ens hem dedicat a regar, treure les males herbes, i cuidar les nostres cebes i enciams.

In a cooperative way we dedicated ourselves to watering, removing weeds, and taking care of our onions and lettuce.

Finalment, vam haver de posar un espantaocells i molinets de vent per evitar que els ocells (sobretot els coloms) no fessin malbé l'hort!

Finally, we had to put up a scarecrow and windmills to stop the birds (especially the pigeons) from spoiling the garden!
