3r i 4t: FESTES DE MAIG

Els nens i nenes de 3r i 4t,. un any més, hem anat a veure el Dimoni plantat a la platja de Badalona.

També hem aprofitat per veure els gegants de la nostra ciutat.

Tot això ho hem fet acompanyats pels alumnes de secundària, compartint moments :)

4TH: THE PLANETS

Fourth-grade students worked in groups to create beautiful posters about the planets in our solar system. Each group chose a planet to research and included fun facts, drawings, and colorful decorations on their poster.

The students learned many interesting things about space, like how big the planets are, how long it takes them to orbit the Sun, and what they are made of. They also practiced working together as a team, sharing ideas, and helping each other.

EXTRACURRICULAR

 Learning English Through Play

Games are a powerful tool in language learning, especially for young children. When children play, they become more engaged, relaxed, and open to acquiring new vocabulary and structures without the pressure of formal instruction.

Board games with flashcards allow learners to connect images with words, strengthening both visual recognition and vocabulary retention. Similarly, games like bingo can be adapted to practice colors, animals, numbers, or other thematic units, making repetition enjoyable and meaningful.

These approaches support not only language acquisition but also social skills, creativity, and self-confidence.

Overall, incorporating games into English language instruction makes learning interactive, dynamic, and memorable. Through play, children are given the opportunity to explore the language in a natural and joyful way.

3rd: READING

During an English reading session in a third-grade classroom, students are observed engaging actively with their books.

When encountering unfamiliar vocabulary, students take notes in their notebook.

This practice is common across the room, children pause, reflect, and write down new words.

This activity not only strengthens reading comprehension but also fosters vocabulary growth and independent learning.

2nd: WATERCOLORS WITH JOAN MIRÓ

 "Exploring Art with Joan Miró"

Second grade students discovered the fascinating world of the Catalan artist Joan Miró. We began by looking at some of his most famous paintings and talking about his use of shapes, lines, and bright colors. The children were curious and excited to learn about his playful, dream-like style.

After that, they colored their own artwork inspired by Miró, using watercolors.

4th: COMIC ACTIVITY

 "Our Comic Book Activity"

Fourth gradestudents worked on a fun and creative comic book project. They invented their own stories, drew the scenes, and later shared their comics with the class. In the pictures, you can see them reading aloud, laughing, and enjoying each other's ideas.

It was a joyful experience that encouraged reading, writing, creativity, and teamwork.
